Six months at conject! Time for proving my baking skills with this home made cherry-chocolate-cake.

Look Ma, we’re on TV! Well, almost… the last few days Alex and me created a short flash animation which will be shown on  Munich’s Infoscreens – those things in the subway showing news, the wheather forecast, valuable inforamtion about the “number of the day” and now conject’s advertisment. I like these special tasks for the marketing department, because it was a rather tough decision for me to quit doing shiny glossy Flash stuff for advertisement agencies and work as a real developer here at conject. Perfect match for both!

“If you can’t play table footie, there is no prospect within conject?” I don’t think that conjectler are soo stern, but table footie is definitely the favourite activity in our breaks…

Last week the conject table footie tournament 2008 took place: 20 participants, 17 games in paired teams in 5 hours. I had to be present! To have equal opportunities, teams are drawn by lot. The luck was on my side, because my game partners weren’t that bad ;-)

… and – what should I say? – Timo and me were the winners! Besides glory and fame we’ve won a spanking cup!

Because shooting goals is a very sweaty business, there was lots of chilled beer and pizza, of course :) >> more…

While refactoring some of the olde code here, I found this gem:

  1. public void notImplemented() {
  2.   //
  3. }

Now this is a really good method name! Sadly, it turned out it was never used. But I’m still thinking about keeping it there, maybe someone else finds it some day and it puts a smile on his face… just as it did on mine :)
