So, you think you're a Real Developer?
Is writing good software actually FUN for you? Are you driven by a desire to become better every day, every week, every month? Do you not take things at face value but try to find the RIGHT way of doing things?
Real Developers come in all shapes and sizes. They might have been electrical engineers in their past, they might have a formal schooling in linguistics, they might have studied a natural science. Quite often, they have started two or three degrees and never finished any of them because coding was just that much more fun.
If you:
- Owned your first computer(s) when you were 12
- Consider coding to be your hobby
- Want to have a career in software, but
- Don’t want to stop writing code
- Would rather work in a great team than on your own
Then conject might be the right place for you!
You want to be part of an amazing team?
We treat creating great software as an art, not an industrial activity. We try to keep overheads low. No “Managers”, no “Architects”, no “Support Engineers”, just developers. The young guys learn from the experienced (and what that means has nothing to do with age or tenure at conject). You lead with the quality of your ideas, not the number of stripes on your uniform.
We expect you to be sociable. We want geeks, not nerds. We don’t skimp on hardware, but we are very reluctant to hire new guys unless they raise the bar for us.
Find out if you’re the kind of guy (or gal) who can teach us new tricks:
Send us your solution to our assignment. Don’t worry about the cover letter. Tell us a little bit about yourself but don’t waste time on formatting. In the end, your code will tell the story of where you’ve been and where you can go.
